What's Happening on the Farm Now!

So much has happened since I last posted. Let me fill you in a little. April of 2015 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent treatment in Portland, Maine. We didn't open our Mount Vernon shop but we kept the Belgrade Lakes store open full blast. The orchard did awesome last year and we did do some field trips.
We opened our Mount Vernon farmstore May 2016 with the awesome help of my parents Sue and Sandy Macomber who came from Georigia to help. We are full blast at both locations and have even done a FIRST TIME EVER FARM FIELD TRIP with the Belgrade Center for All Seasons campers. It was so much fun!
This past year has been a whirlwind and has put our lives into perspective. Due to the harsh Winters of Maine and my desire for more family time, we regret to inform all of you that we are closing our Belgrade Lakes shop even after our best season yet. We are planning to expand our home farm this Fall, finances willing, to be able to bake more, do some gardens and even some farm tours.
We have lots of babies on the farm now. We hope you will come by to visit. We would appreciate a call ahead to ensure that we have someone to show you around. Thank you for all your support for our family and farm. Hope to see you soon.

Many are wondering when the orchard is opening. It will be this week. Not sure of the date exactly yet. Have some things still to do. The apples look nice. We aquired the orchard just this year, so we have alot of work to do to get the orchard where it needs to be. But we assure you that we are working very hard to do so. We will be open Wednesday-Saturday 10am to dark. We will let you know what day this week. We will be offering a much cheaper price due to the quality this year. We hope you understand.
We have many varieties in the orchard. MacIntosh, Cortland, Golden Delicious. We also have Honey Crisp and alot of other varieties like Macoun and Sweet 16. Please come visit us. Come try our delicious apple cider.
We would like to also inform you of our new Fall hours at both farmstore locations.
